Our range of home buyer services has evolved over the years to provide a fully bespoke integrated service to every client. The process of searching for and buying a new home can be hugely exciting, so you can choose how much or how little you would like to be involved. Although we design the service to every client’s requirement, the primary stages are similar. We then tailor the process to suit your situation, depending on your schedule and your location.

No obligation consultation

The first stage is to learn about you, your requirements, and objectives. We will also explain how we work and how we tailor our service to suit you. Then we advise on current market conditions and how your budget will perform in your chosen areas. We can also suggest locations that may be suitable based on what we have learnt from our conversation.

Detailed brief

After the consultation, we compile a detailed brief together. We then know what you like and don’t like, and this is where The Buying Agents experience comes into its own. We know the essential factors to consider while taking your personal, professional and lifestyle requirements into account. Your consultant can also advise on further considerations as the way you use your property changes over time.

At this stage, we explore all options available both on and off-market through estate agents and our extensive network of industry contacts.

Preview and due diligence

We will personally visit any property we think is a potential fit and physically inspect it before adding it to the shortlist. Our extensive experience ensures we know what to look for as there are not many problems we have not encountered over the years. At the same time, we also conduct initial due diligence on the tenure and vendor. We will also obtain detailed price comparables and suggest a purchase price range for each property.


The Buying Agents will then compile a shortlist of all the suitable properties we have found and report on or discuss each one with you. Then we provide objective advice on each property. Finally, we will highlight any potential issues, and in some instances, we may commission a Pre-Offer Survey.


We will arrange all the appointments to view the chosen properties at your convenience. We will accompany you on all the viewings, being on hand to offer advice on each. If you cannot attend any viewings (especially pre-market property at short notice), we can view them on your behalf and provide you with a detailed viewing report and walkthrough video. Overseas clients receive the same information and videos for each property on the shortlist. We are also able to arrange live video tours for overseas buyers who cannot visit the UK. At this stage, we can also commission a surveyor to conduct a feasibility study if you intend to make structural alterations to the property.


Once we have found your perfect property, we then conduct thorough research to establish the property’s current market value. Our in-house systems enable us to gauge the average £/sqft in any London postcode. Then, using our experience of recent sales and in-depth local knowledge, we can determine the property’s market value. We will then discuss the offer and acquisition strategy before entering negotiations to ensure you know what to expect at every stage of the process.


As soon as the offer is accepted, wet will coordinate all services to initiate the purchase process. We liaise with the surveyors, solicitors, finance providers and the estate agent. We manage every stage of the process to ensure a smooth transaction within the agreed time frame. In addition, the Buying Agents online system allows you to monitor the progress of your purchase at any time.

Exchange & completion

The Buying Agents liaise with all parties throughout the process, so your input is kept to a minimum. We also ensure that the various parties have what they need at the right time to reduce the transaction time and prevent unnecessary delays. As Exchange of Contracts approaches, we will also start to schedule any other services you require, along with helping you prepare for your move on Completion.

After-care service
